This fall, on October 12-13th, St. James, Calgary, is hosting 2 side by side events by ACA (formerly known as Anglican Essentials), and Engage. The Conference will include sessions on “The Holy Spirit in the Church”, “The Role of the New Testament” , “Passing on the Faith to the Next Generation”, and “Looking Ahead to General Synod 2019.”
Speakers are: The Rev. Dr. Ron Kydd (Associate professor of Church History at Tyndale University College), Julie Moser (Diocese of Qu’Appelle Youth Missioner), Sharon Dewey Hetke (National Director of Anglican Communion Alliance), Ken Moser (Professor of Youth Ministry, Briercrest College) , and Stephen Tighe (Young Anglicans Project).
Friday evening will begin at 7:30 with a Reception. Saturday’s program will include times of worship, breaks and lunch together, an Address from one of the ACC’s Gracious Restraint Bishops, and encouragement from the host Bishop, the Most Rev. Greg Kerr-Wilson.

The Fifth Sunday is on July 30th at Christ Church Millarville.
Please note that the time of the service is not the regular Christ Church service time
but at 10:00AM followed by a potluck lunch in the hall.

Come to the 55th Flower Festival
The 55th Annual Flower Festival will be held at Christ Church on Saturday, July 15th and Sunday, July 16th .
A Tea of scones, home made strawberry jam and whipped cream will be held at the Church House on Saturday only from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The cost is $6.00 per person, $3.00 for children 6 and under.
Strawberry Recipe Cookbooks and jars of Strawberry Jam will be available for purchase.
As usual, the church, grounds and cemetery will be beautifully decorated with flowers. Donations of potted plants, floral arrangements and cut flowers are needed.
If you can help provide these, please call Cathie Scatterty at 403-938-7717. Flowers should be brought to the church on Friday evening around 6:00 p.m. Children are welcome to help place flowers on the graves in the cemetery.
The Christ Church Millarville Ladies Guild is responsible for organizing the tea, decorating the church and grounds and helping to serve at the Tea. The ladies appreciate the help of the
Millarville Horticultural Society and members of the local community.
The flowers can still be viewed at our Church Service on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
