We celebrated this weekend - Flower Festival and 130 anniversary of Christ Church Pt2.

This newsletter is full of photos of the weekend's events.

Flowers, Tea, Heartland Fans, costumes, Sunday service, reunions, and the dedication of the refurbished Sculpture Garden courtesy of the Ladies Guild.

Thank you to everyone who helped out.  So many of you gave of your time and energy to make this one of the best celebrations ever!

Hear ye, Hear ye, good people of the three churches of Meota Parish.

Flower Festival is upon us. Saturday- don't miss out on fresh baked scones, homemade strawberry preserves with real whipped cream, and tea in a fine china cup.  $10.00 per person!

If the weather permits, Doug will give us a fly by in his vintage airplane around noon!

Sunday -the special Flower Festival Service  and a BAS service to celebrate 130 years of Christ Church.

Two announcements-

June 6 - this coming Saturday - come to  Discovery Days in the Turner Valley park and cheer on the hosts of our St George's booth. Drop by the church parking lot for a hot dog!

July 11 - Flower Festival  at Christ Church - pass along the news of fresh baked scones, homemade strawberry preserves and tea from a china tea cup for a nominal fee! 

 The quaint log church and mountain view are free!

Sunday May 10th 10:30 am at Christ Church - the celebration of its 130th Anniversary. One Service for all the churches of Meota Parish.

In the spirit of 1896 - 

Ladies are invited to wear a "bonnet" or hat and men are invited to wear a bolo tie or old fashioned tie.

BIG NEWS!  Christ Church will be 130 years old.

The Celebration Service will be May 10th, 10:30 am, one service for all three churches of Meota! All are welcome. Tell your friends and neighbours and anyone who has a connection with the history, the community or the church!

Grab your Mom, Grandma, Sister or Auntie and bring them to the  Royal Tea May 9th at St George's.

Greetings All!

Big announcement- Christ Church is 130 years old!

The celebration service will be May 10th, 10:30 am. Many people in the wider community have a connection to this church which is a  big piece of Western Canadian history. Spread the news far and wide and everyone is invited!

Hear Ye, hear ye,  all ye Knights and Princesses of the Realm! St George's is having a Medieval Tea on Mother's Day May 9th.  Suits of armour, and princess dresses are encouraged!  See the announcement enclosed in the newsletter. 

As well, the Sheep River Library is honouring all Diamond Valley Area Volunteers.  Please include yourself as we so appreciate all your support of the churches of Meota.

This coming Sunday is a PALM SUNDAY, a special service of Palms and then stripping the altar for the days that follow.  Please check the newsletter for all the events and services for HOLY WEEK,(beginning this coming Sunday)   for all three churches: Christ Church, St George's and St James. 

One of my favourites is the Good Friday service.
