Sadly, on Friday, we will have the funeral service for JAN BALLANCE at 12:30 pm at St. George's. We remember Jan with great love and appreciation for her big heart and for everything she has done for us all!

SUNDAY SCHOOL has begun at Christ Church. We will be baking cookies this coming Sunday.  The big question is: what do cookies tell us about God???

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY is starting - the third Thursday of the month. See inside this week's edition for details.

CRAFT FAIR  - put September 28 on your calendar.

FIFTH SUNDAY September 29th at ST GEORGE'S. This is "Invite a friend to church" Sunday.

Big doin's are coming!

Sunday School is starting up next Sunday at Christ Church.

Ladies Guild meeting is Wednesday Sept 4 at 1:00 pm, Church House.

And..... the Craft Fair will be brimming with tables of sewing, baking, wood working, paintings, stained glass, knitting, macrame and more!!!!

Put Sept 28 on your calendar and invite a friend - to the Fair on Saturday and to a special service on Sunday.

So, is it "stirrup" or "stir up"?????

A Parishioner is getting rid of her sewing, quilting, and crafting stuff this Saturday at St. George's hall, 11 am - 3 pm.  Come for some great deals and get yourself set up for your Fall projects! 

We want to highlight our churches of Meota??  One idea is to have a community CRAFT FAIR.  See the poster in Connecting Meota. 

 Do you want a table to sell your wares?  Do you want to Christmas shop early?  Do you want to introduce our church to friends and neighbours in a friendly, non-pushy way? Come to the Craft Fair. See inside the newsletter for details. 

There is also information on how to support relief efforts to those affected by the jasper fire.

There are the Sunday Readings, a word search and a closing prayer.

This week is my annual sharing of what is left on my desktop.  I collect neat stuff and save it for the right time to include it in Connecting Meota.  Here is a small sampling of quotes and posters for your inspiration.

The bread of Life is the theme coming on Sunday.  This week's newsletter has a nice prayer, an easy crossword and three "bread" cartoons in the Funny Bones section.

Also the ongoing announcement about the first Annual MEOTA CRAFT FAIR:  an opportunity to share our church with the community.  Start inviting friends and neighbours for some great early Christmas shopping.

PWRDF - Hurricane Beryl and Windward Island Relief

As a Companion Diocese with the Windward Islands, we have heard of the tragic events and the devastation left behind by Hurricane Beryl, and have been asked how people can help.

The PWRDF now has a fund set up specifically for hurricane relief in the Windward Islands.

PWRDF accepting donations for Hurricane Beryl response - The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund

Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause, as the PWRDF will know how to best direct funds.
